Joining Forces Campaign

Local Law enforcement agencies are joining a statewide joining forces distracted driving campaign this month. It will begin on Friday, April 3rd, and run through April 20th.

The campaign will include highly visible enforcement along with public education efforts with the goal of improving safety on Nevada’s roadways.

Distracted driving can take many forms, including texting or talking on the phone, eating, adjusting controls, or interacting with passengers in an unsafe way.

Drivers are encouraged to silence notifications, put their phones out of reach, and give their full attention to the road every time they get behind the wheel.

The Nevada Department of Public Safety’s Office of Traffic Safety provides funding for law enforcement agencies to participate in Joining Forces to reduce traffic deaths.
