The Carson City School District Board of Trustees has appointed Tina Statucki, in a unanimous vote, as the new trustee to represent District 5, a position previously vacated by former School Board Vice President Mike Walker, who resigned Dec. 9, 2025.
Following a public application and interview process, Trustee Statucki edged out Steven Reynolds, the other applicant.
Her tenure started immediately after the vote; she will be seated among the other trustees at the next school board meeting scheduled for April 14, 2026. It is expected Statucki will serve until the next general election.
The 2026 School Board Members by district include the following.
