A solo semi-truck crash closed all eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 near Floriston this morning. At this time one lane of eastbound 80 is now open.
The crash was reported at about 10:45 a.m. Friday on eastbound I-80 just east of Floriston Way, according to the Caltrans QuickMap website. The semi-truck overturned and blocked both eastbound lanes.
Caltrans QuickMap information provided by the California Highway Patrol said the tractor remained connected to the trailer and was hanging over the side of a bridge. The driver of the semi-truck was ejected, and emergency crews responded to the scene.
A patient was expected to be transported to Renown according to the QuickMap information. Truckee police were also requested to assist with traffic control, while Caltrans prepared for a full response to the closure and cleanup.
