Carson High School held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday for the grand opening of its new career closet.

The on-campus resource provides students access to new and gently used professional clothing for job interviews, mock interviews, internships, and other opportunities where professional attire is required.

Organizers say it’s designed to remove financial barriers and promote career readiness among students.

The grand opening celebration was led by Carson City Mayor Lori Bagwell and included remarks from school leaders who thanked community partners for helping make the career closet possible.

The career closet will be available to students throughout the school year.
