Two men were arrested Thursday night after a driver and his passenger attempted to escape a traffic stop in Fallon.

A Churchill County deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for a missing license plate near Lovelock Highway and Airport Road. The driver fled along Airport Road, turned south onto Rio Vista and then west onto Paiute Drive.

The car came to an abrupt stop on the dirt portion of Paiute Drive after other patrol vehicles confronted it.

The driver, 20-year-old Bryce Anderson, and his passenger, 20-year-old Aiden Anderson, got out of the vehicle and attempted to run. A woman also exited the vehicle but did not attempt to run, according to the Churchill County Sheriff's Office.

The two suspects were arrested after a short foot chase.

A search of the vehicle uncovered approximately 29.36 grams of suspected methamphetamine, a loaded hypodermic syringe containing a suspected controlled substance, Suboxone without a prescription and approximately 4.33 grams of marijuana.

Deputies also recovered an electronic scale, new and used hypodermic needles, small baggies and suspected drug-smoking devices. Items described as weapons included knives, hatchets and a table leg with protruding nails.

Bryce Anderson was booked on charges including eluding or evading police, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance weighing more than 28 grams but less than 42 grams, and possession of a controlled substance weighing less than 14 grams.

He also faces charges related to possessing a dangerous drug without a prescription and drug paraphernalia, as well as driving without a valid license, speeding 21 to 30 mph over the limit, operating an unregistered vehicle and possessing 10 ounces or less of marijuana.

Aiden Anderson was booked on charges of resisting a public officer and possession of drug paraphernalia.
