A man convicted of drug trafficking in September of last year has been sentenced to 25 years in prison.

The Elko Police Department made two arrests on Tuesday, one for luring a child or person with mental illness and another on drug charges.

They found the suspect with nearly 20 pounds of methamphetamine (street value of $223,252), 1.25 pounds of marijuana, and $8,074.

Three people were arrested after a traffic stop in Minden that revealed a gun, drugs, and stolen mail containing checks worth nearly $150,000.

Two people were arrested in Yerington on Tuesday on multiple charges, with one wanted on a felony warrant and both charged with possession of methamphetamine.

A Sparks man convicted in a drug smuggling case involving more than a pound of meth will spend at least 10 years in prison. 

A man faces several charges after being accused of selling meth from his home in Elko.
