During most school holidays, the City of Reno holds Vacation Station camps that provide activities and fun for kids wanting to get out of the house.
The registration for the Winter Break Vacation Station Camps is officially open.
You can register your kids now for one of two camps; one taking place from December 23-27 (with no camp on December 25) and one happening from December 30-January 3 (with no camp on January 1).
Kids of ages 6-12 are welcome to take part in the camps; participants must already have attended a Washoe County School District Kindergarten to be eligible.
Currently, the city has three different locations for the camps: Evelyn Mount Community Center, Plumas Gym and Westergard Elementary School.
The camps run from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. each weekday.
The cost for a full week of camp is $135 per child - you can register and pay online at the City of Reno's registration website.
