A death investigation is underway after a body was found on Klondike Drive near East 8th Avenue in Sun Valley. 

Deputies say the death happened Monday in the area of Klondike Drive between East 8th Avenue and Morgan Circle.

Deputies say they were called to the area just before 10 a.m. where they found an unresponsive person.

The Washoe County Sheriff's Office says, "We ask the public to avoid the area and use alternate routes while investigators work safely and efficiently."
 
The investigation remains ongoing.
