El Dorado County Sheriff's Office deputies helped a dog that was found trapped in the American River above Chili Bar.
The Echo 1 crew was leaving a call for service on Thursday, when they saw the dog stuck against a cliff face, with water up to her torso.
The crew quickly developed a plan to rescue her and brought her back to the hangar.
El Dorado County Animal Services is now trying to find her owner. Anyone who recognizes the dog or knows someone who may be missing her is asked to contact Animal Services.
