The Nevada State Police have released details about a crash that happened in late November on US-50W in Lyon County.

At around 5:45 p.m. the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol responded to a crash at US-50 and Fortune Drive.

An investigation has found that a 2014 Toyota Avalon carrying three people was traveling west on US-50 and stopped at the intersection of US-50 and Fortune Drive.

A 2001 Ford F-150 was was traveling in the same direction on US-50 and rear-ended the stopped Toyota.

The three occupants of the Toyota were immediately taken to a hospital with moderate to serious injuries.

One of the two passengers in the Toyota, 75-year old Brian Wesley Stebbins Sr. from Dayton, succumbed to his injuries on December 9 and he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The crash is currently being investigated by the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Region 2 Traffic Homicide Unit.
