A monthly diaper bank is returning to Sparks later this month, offering families a chance to pick up basic supplies for their children.
Baby’s Bounty, a Nevada nonprofit, is hosting its Northern Nevada diaper bank on Wednesday, April 29, at its warehouse on Greg Street. The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Families can receive a week’s supply of diapers and wipes for up to three children during the event.
Those planning to attend are asked to register through the Baby’s Bounty app, which is now open for sign-ups. Additional details on downloading and registering are available on the organization’s website.
The distribution will take place at 1410 Greg St., Suite 409, in Sparks.
Baby’s Bounty was founded in 2008 to support families by providing education and essential items for infants. The nonprofit first launched its “Baby Bundle” program, offering items including car seats, cribs, clothing, and toiletries along with newborn safety education.
In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization started its diaper bank program in Las Vegas. It has since expanded to additional locations, including Henderson, North Las Vegas, and Northern Nevada.
Since launching the diaper bank, the nonprofit reports it has helped more than 45,000 families and distributed 7 million diapers and more than 14 million wipes.
