The Nevada Day Parade rolled through Carson City on Saturday morning, celebrating the Silver State's birthday.

2 News Nevada was there to participate in the festivities.

The parade brought together several local organizations, as well as marching bands, military floats, and more.

The route stretched from Williams and North Carson Street to Stewart and South Carson Street.

Rainy weather did not deter people from showing up for the event.

"I was raised here in Nevada," said parade participant Amanda Drown. "My family's a founding family in Nevada, and it means everything to celebrate the day and just see everyone come together and celebrate the statehood and the history, which just runs so deep in all of us, and it just makes me very proud to live here."
