As summer festival season returns to Reno, downtown Virginia Street is set to fill with the sounds of live music, smoky barbecue, and crowds gathering for one of the city’s longtime summer traditions.

Mark your calendars, the 29th annual BBQ, Brews & Blues Festival will return to downtown Reno June 19-20, bringing two days of food, beer tastings, live entertainment, and games to the area outside the Eldorado.

Festival hours are scheduled for 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, June 19, and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 20.

The event is open to the public, with food and drinks available for purchase throughout the festival grounds.

Rock band Night Ranger is set to headline Friday at 7:30 p.m. The band is known for hits including “Sister Christian” and “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me.” Other performers include Shane Dwight, Matt Rainey & The Dippin Sauce, and Motown Soul.

The festival will also feature the return of the Beer Olympics, with games taking place at the corner of Virginia and Fourth streets throughout the weekend.
