The Northern Nevada Children's Cancer Foundation will be hosting Dozers & Dirt on Saturday September 21 at the Rilite Aggregate Pit.

The event runs from 10:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., with the gates closing at 2:30 p.m. - the pit is located at 9208 Western Skies Drive in Reno.

Dozers & Dirt offers kids of all ages a chance to get on a big rig and drive heavy equipment. Participants can drive and ride bulldozers, graders, backhoes, loaders, excavators, dump trucks and more.

35 pieces of heavy construction equipment will also be available to operate, and participants can experience close-up displays of the RAVEN helicopter, SWAT BearCat, a bomb unit, police cars and fire trucks.

The Wolf Pack's Alphie, Archie from the Reno Aces, and Smokey the Bear will be making special appearances.

All children must be accompanied by an adult, and a waiver is required to enter. Admission is $100 per child under 17 who would like to ride the equipment.

The ticket price includes a youth t-shirt, backpack, and water pouch, while supplies last.

Closed-toe shoes are required to participate.
