The community is coming together to help a Bureau of Land Management firefighter who was injured during the initial attack on the Conner Fire.
According to a post on GoFundMe, 25-year-old Riley Frazier, an assistant captain with six years of experience, sustained burns when working the fire on June 20 and will not be able to return to work for the remainder of the fire season.
Riley's wife Risa works as a U.S. Forest Service dispatcher, and has taken leave from her job to support her husband's recovery.
One of Riley's teammates set up a GoFundMe to raise funds for the couple to alleviate stress and help with expenses during recovery.
If you'd like to donate, you can do so at the GoFundMe website.
