Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford has announced the first meeting of the Nevada Hate Crimes Task Force will be happening next week in Reno and Las Vegas.

According to the AG's office, the task force was formed to strengthen the state's reporting data collection; improve victim support and promote education and prevention.

The meeting is happening simultaneously at both offices of the Attorney General on Tuesday, February 17 from 3 to 5 p.m. and the public can attend at either location:

     • In Reno: 9790 Gateway Dr, suite 100     

     • in Las Vegas: 1 State of Nevada Way, suite 100
