A former Renown urgent care employee is accused of stealing more than 40 patients' credit card information.

Sparks Police say the investigation started in October 2024 when a victim submitted an online fraud report stating their credit card was used at several area businesses without their consent.

Police say the suspect, 27-year-old Yuliza Ruiz worked at a Renown Urgent Care in Sparks and when police informed them, she was released from her employment.

With Renown’s help, police say more than 40 other victims, including several victims over the age of 60, were identified. The victims were later contacted by detectives, as well as Renown.

On Tuesday, police say Ruiz turned herself in to authorities where she was booked into the Washoe County Jail.

Ruiz was booked on the following charges:

* 42 counts of obtain and use personal identity information of older/vulnerable person
