Fire crews have stopped forward progress on a brush fire above Goni Rd, north of Carson City and southeast of Washoe Lake. It started just before 1 p.m. Friday.
The fire has burned an estimated 25 acres with no structures threatened, according to the Carson City Fire Department.
A 'Be Ready' evacuation has been lifted. At this time, it is unknown how the fire started.
This is a unified command incident with Carson City Fire, Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District, U.S. Forest Service-Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest and Bureau of Land Management - Nevada.
