The Greater Nevada Credit Union dug deep into their pockets with a $100,000 donation to the Renown Health Foundation, which will help Renown Children's Hospital.
The gift was given at a check presentation Monday, where an announcement was made that the donation would fund 22 new bassinets for babies at Renown's Postpartum Birthing unit.
Renown Health's Labor and Delivery Center is nationally ranked for maternity care, and delivers more babies annually than any other hospital in the area.
In addition, Renown Children's Hospital is the only dedicated children's hospital in northern Nevada and the region's only Children's Miracle Network Hospitals member.
Greater Nevada also announced a donation of 4,500 piggy banks in gift boxes to give to babies as a gift to the new families when they leave the hospital.
100% of funds raised by Children's Miracle Network Hospitals stay local to support children and families in the communities they serve.
