Reno residents will have the chance to enjoy holiday treats and access essential supplies at the second annual “Helix Helping Hands: Sweets & Treats” Thanksgiving event.

Hosted by Helix Electric, LLC, the gathering is set for Today, Tuesday, November 25, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 4th Street Brewery & Coffee Co., located at 1126 E 4th Street in Reno.

The event supports residents of the Cares Campus and Reno’s unsheltered community.

Helix Electric said last year’s inaugural Thanksgiving event for the unhoused community was a “tremendous success.” Building on that, this year’s gathering includes more community partners and additional winter resources, including jackets, sweaters, and other essential supplies.

Guests can enjoy music, entertainment, coffee, cocoa, cider, and a variety of pies while connecting with local organizations such as Northern Nevada HOPES, Eddy House, Good Shepherd's Clothes Closet, Our Center, Kimmie Candy, About Town Deb, and Digiprint.

Helix Electric said the event creates a “warm, uplifting space where attendees can enjoy holiday treats, pick up essential winter supplies such as jackets/coats, and connect with helpful resources,” reflecting its mission to provide “both joy and meaningful support during the holiday season.”
