Junior Achievement of Northern Nevada and Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada will combine to form Junior Achievement of Nevada on July 1, creating a single statewide organization aimed at expanding its reach and strengthening services for students across the state.
The organizations say the strategic alignment is designed to strengthen statewide operations, increase the number of students served, and enhance program development and fundraising efforts. As well as brings together their strengths, resources, and a combined history of 100 years of service to students under one statewide structure.
Len Stevens, president and CEO of Junior Achievement of Northern Nevada, will remain with the organization for six months during the transition. Afterward, he will continue supporting efforts to complete the Northern Nevada Experiential Learning Center.
“The unification of Northern and Southern Nevada under one Junior Achievement organization marks a pivotal, statewide leap forward. By aligning our strengths, we can innovate faster and expand opportunities for every student,” said Stevens. “The Northern Nevada Experiential Learning Center is central to Junior Achievement Nevada’s future. There, students will navigate immersive, real-world financial simulations that build practical literacy, confidence and sound decision-making. It doesn’t just teach finance; it equips students with the skills and knowledge to work toward economic mobility.”
Michelle Jackson, who has been with Junior Achievement since 2014, has been appointed president and CEO of Junior Achievement of Nevada. Jackson currently serves as president and CEO of Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada.
Kristin Reagan, who has been with Junior Achievement of Northern Nevada since 2018, will become Northwestern Regional Director, overseeing operations and engagement in the region.
“Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada and Junior Achievement of Northern Nevada have a proud history of partnering on programs,” said Jackson. “By uniting as one organization, we’ll streamline resources, expand our reach and deliver even greater impact.”
The organizations said the combination will not result in staff reductions and is expected to support future growth, including additional job opportunities. Officials said the unified structure will increase the organization's capacity to serve more students throughout Nevada and strengthen efforts in program development and statewide fundraising.
Junior Achievement of Nevada said it will continue delivering financial literacy, career readiness and entrepreneurship programs to K-12 students across the state, with the goal of preparing students for future success through skills and real-world experiences.
