A juvenile has been arrested following an incident in September involving property damage caused by a door-kicking prank.

The Washoe County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of property damage at a home on September 21, according to a press release from the WCSO.

The owners of the property had returned home to find a crack in their front door that broke the lock, requiring the replacement of the door and locks.

The damage was caused by a door-kick that happened at 3:45 that morning, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Deputies reviewed home surveillance footage and identified a juvenile suspect and a vehicle used in the incident.

On October 7, a 15-year-old was arrested and booked into Jan Evans Regional Juvenile Justice Center on a charge of destruction of property (more than $250 but less than $1,000).
