Nevada game wardens with assistance from the Tri-County Special Response Team arrested a Lander County man, following an investigation into the illegal taking and possession of multiple big game animals, including mule deer and pronghorn.
A search warrant was executed at Caleb McKinley Spurlock’s property, where investigators say they found animal heads, meat, DNA samples, a rifle, and other items associated with the investigation.
Investigators determined Spurlock had never held a Nevada hunting license or big game tag.
"Nevada's wildlife is a shared public resource," said Chief Game Warden Kristy Knight. "The illegal take of big game animals robs all Nevadans of a resource that is carefully managed for future generations. Our game wardens will continue to investigate wildlife crimes and hold violators accountable."
The investigation remains ongoing.
