The Lyon County Sheriff's Office Traffic Enforcement Team (STET) conducted saturation patrols in the Smith Valley and Wellington area for about six hours Thursday.
In a social media post, deputies say they made 47 traffic stops in the operation, resulting in:
- 32 speeding citations
- 4 registration violations
- 2 no valid license citations
LSCO says the average speed recorded during the operation was 45 mph in the posted 25 mph zone.
