Rescue crews have found a missing hiker in eastern Sierra County.
The unidentified hiker went missing in the Tahoe National Forest near Little Truckee Summit.
The Sierra County Sheriff's Office says they began the search after a report Sunday afternoon.
Several agencies helped in the search including the Nevada County Sheriff's Search and Rescue Team, the U.S. Forest Service – Tahoe National Forest, California Highway Patrol Air Operations, Washoe County Sheriff's Search and Rescue, Washoe County Sheriff's RAVEN Helicopter, and the California Office of Emergency Services.
“We are extremely grateful for the successful outcome of this incident, especially with forecasted overnight temperatures expected to drop significantly at higher elevations,” the county says in a Facebook post.
