A Placer County child was involved in a child exploitation case stemming from a man in Missouri, as the suspect from back in April.
According to an online post by the Placer County Sheriff's Office, on November 4, deputies identified and arrested Steven Ohrie Williams III after he allegedly tried to obtain illegal material from the child.
The arrest was assisted by the U.S. Marshals Service, St. Charles County Police Department in Missouri, and the St. Charles Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
After Williams is transported to Placer County, he will face felony charges. This is an ongoing investigation by the department, and there may be additional victims.
