A man faces drug charges after police say they found more than two pounds of heroin inside his car during a months-long investigation.
Authorities say 23-year-old Jose Maria Ramirez-Huerta was arrested on Halloween by detectives with the Regional Narcotics Unit (RNU), with assistance from the Reno Police Department K9 Unit.
After his arrest, investigators searched his Sparks home where they say they found an additional 294.13 grams of heroin and 19.85 grams of methamphetamine.
Ramirez-Huerta was booked into the Washoe County Jail on the following charges:
* Possession of a Controlled Substance
* Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale
* Trafficking of a Controlled Substance
