A man faces several charges after being accused of selling meth from his home in Elko.

The Nevada Division of Investigation, along with Elko Police and sheriff’s office served a search warrant at the home of Pedro Rodriguez-Ortiz last month where they say they found about 140 grams of meth and cash believed to be from alleged drug sales.

Rodriguez-Ortiz was arrested and now faces charges of trafficking methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, and maintaining a location for the sale, use, or distribution of a controlled substance.

In a Facebook post, police say, “The Elko Police Department wants to advise future entrepreneurs that selling drugs is not a viable business to start in Elko County.”
