A man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple sex crime charges involving a child.
David Fritsche Jr. will be eligible for parole after 10 years, according to a release from the Washoe County District Attorney's Office.
He pled guilty to attempted lewdness by a person over 18 with a person under 14, and attempt to use or permit a minor under age 14 to produce pornography.
Officers with the Reno Police Department responded to Fritsche’s home last February for a report of an 8-year-old child being inappropriately touched.
Fritsche and his family were well known by the victim’s family, and the two had interacted for many years.
A video recovered by the victim’s father and found on the defendant’s phone showed him pulling the child’s pants down while she slept and his hand lingering between her legs.
Additional forensic analysis of his phone showed disturbing AI-generated nude images of females and baby dolls in sexual positions and situations.
