The Northern Nevada Central Labor Council is teaming with Indivisible Northern Nevada and 50501 NV to host a May Day rally this week.
The rally happens Thursday, May 1, at the Bruce R. Thompson Federal Building in Reno from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
According to organizers, the focus of the rally is to protest President Donald Trump's attacks on unions and immigrants, as well as attacks on the institutions and individuals coming to their aid.
Indivisible Northern Nevada has helped organize previous protests in Reno, often at the Believe Plaza downtown.
The rally was planned for May 1 to coincide with May Day, a day also traditionally known as International Worker's Day.
Speakers scheduled to be at the rally include Ross Kinson, the President of the Northern Nevada Central Labor Council, and Rob Benner, Secretary Treasurer of the Building & Construction Trades Council of Northern Nevada.
