Molina Healthcare of Nevada gave $50,000 to Thrive Wellness of Reno (Thrive) to support their innovative behavioral health services for adolescents and adults experiencing OCD, anxiety, and eating disorders.
The grant will help fund the development of a 24-hour residential treatment center, scheduled to open in early 2026.
According to Molina Healthcare, the 24-hour care center will offer medical, dietetic, psychiatric, and therapeutic support. They say by providing such comprehensive care, the facility will enable Nevada residents to stay local while obtaining treatment.
The center will also offer space for families to stay onsite to support their loved one’s transition into care.
“Our program is the first of its kind for adolescents and their families,” said Kat Geiger, CEO at Thrive. “This comprehensive approach offers care in a warm, welcoming space that enables residents to immerse themselves in their healing journey, with easily accessible services and opportunities to invite family members to join them in their journey.”
Molina Healthcare of Nevada, Inc. provides government-funded, quality health care, serving members through Medicaid, Medicare, and Marketplace programs in Nevada.
“Molina is committed to Nevada and grateful to partner in the great work Thrive is doing to support Nevada youth in need of comprehensive behavioral health care,” said Rob Baughman, plan president of Molina Healthcare of Nevada. “Thrive’s compassionate approach to care helps participants feel at home as they take critical steps toward a brighter future.”
