Multiple crashes along I-80 westbound near Patrick have caused severe traffic backups on Thursday night and resulted in an arrest.
A spokesperson for the Nevada State Police confirms multiple crashes snarled traffic for hours, but lanes have since reopened.
One person was arrested on suspicion of impairment, but there were no major injuries in any of the crashes.
Authorities say even though lanes are open, it will take a while for traffic to get moving due to people from the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center leaving their jobs.
