Evacuation warnings are now lifted for the area near the 100-acre Navato Fire in east Sparks. 

The fire started around 8 p.m. near Geno Martini Parkway and Garda Court and is currently 20% contained. 

A portion of the Vecchio Drive community was evacuated overnight as a precaution and thousands of people were temporarily without power. 

Fire crews say no injuries have been reported. 

An official cause remains under investigation.

An evacuation order is in effect near Vecchio Drive as a 100-acre fire continues in Sparks.

According to the Sparks Fire Department in an online post, a vegetation fire in the area of Geno Martini Parkway and Garda Court has prompted an evacuation order for the Vecchio Drive area as firefighters continue working the blaze Tuesday evening.

An evacuation shelter has been set up at the Sparks Library on 12th Street for residents impacted by the fire.

NV Energy has deactivated power in the area.

The situation remains active and is a developing story. Additional information was not immediately available.
