The Nevada Department of Corrections is denying allegations tonight that officers killed an offender last week.
Officials say the only recorded homicide this year was in February.
Since 2023, NDOC says 206 offenders have died in its custody, 20 of which were homicides.
The department says it has increased surveillance and is working to reduce violence within the facilities.
