Anyone hoping to spend Memorial Day weekend under the stars at a Nevada State Park is out of luck.

All developed campsites across Nevada State Parks are fully booked for the busy holiday weekend as visitors from across the state prepare to head outdoors for the unofficial start of summer.

According to Nevada State Parks in an online post, visitors planning day trips should also expect crowded conditions at parks, beaches, boat ramps, and visitor centers from Friday through Monday.

With heavy traffic expected throughout the weekend, the agency encouraged visitors to arrive early, make backup plans, bring plenty of water and recreate responsibly while enjoying Nevada’s outdoor destinations.
