Nevada's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 5.3% in August.
That's according to the Nevada Department of Employment, Training, and Rehabilitation.
In the newest report released, it shows the unemployment rate decreased by 0.1% from July 2025 to August 2025.
For the Reno area specifically, the unemployment rate was 4.2%, Carson City was 4% and the Las Vegas area was 5.6%.
The area with the highest rate was Mineral County at 9.7%, and the lowest rated area was Pershing County at 3.4%.
The smallest decreases were seen in Clark, Washoe, and Storey County which all saw decreases of 0.4 percentage points.
