One person is dead after a rollover crash on SR 233 north of Montello last week.
Specifically, the crash happened near mile marker 25 in Elko County, just before 2:30 p.m. on Monday, October 13.
Nevada Highway Patrol says a Chevy truck was heading south on SR 233 when it went off the roadway prompting the driver to overcorrect causing the truck to spin going off the left side of the road and rolling.
NHP says both the driver and passenger did not wear their seatbelts and were thrown from the truck.
The unidentified driver was transported to a nearby hospital with moderate injuries. The passenger, 62-year-old Tuwaka Lee Ransom of Blackfoot, Idaho died a few days later.
The investigation remains ongoing.Â
