Carol Drive house fire

One person is dead after an overnight house fire in Sun Valley. 

Fire crews were called out to the home on Carol Drive near Leon Drive and E. 1st Avenue around 1:15 a.m. Tuesday where they found an unidentified body inside. 

Firefighters kept the fire from spreading to other homes.

Washoe County Sheriff’s Office detectives are now conducting an investigation. 

The Washoe County Medical Regional Examiner’s Office will conduct its formal investigation.Â
