Reno Fire crews stopped a fire that was burning between Sandyhill Lane and Interstate 80, just east of South McCarran in west Reno.
It started just before 7 p.m. Saturday night in a ravine. 26 Reno Fire personnel responded, including 6 engines.
No structures were damaged and no injuries were reported. The fire was held at about half an acre.
Crews were able to stop the fire from damaging a nearby power pole.
According to officials, the origin of the fire may be connected to a homeless encampment in the area.
The fire started around 7 p.m. Saturday and burned half an acre.
