Multiple law enforcement units conducted a coordinated operation at the Ace Motor Lodge, located at 222 N. Sierra St., in response to ongoing concerns raised by residents in the area.

The location has been under investigation by the Regional Narcotics Unit, resulting in multiple charges against various people.

Units involved in the operation included Patrol, the Mobile Engagement Team, the Regional Crime Suppression Unit, and the Human Exploitation and Trafficking Regional Command Center.

All of these units had prior cases or subjects linked to the property.

They were joined by Community Action Officers, CLEAR, Code Enforcement, and the Health Department to address broader community impacts and pursue long-term solutions.

As a result of the operation:

  • Five misdemeanor citations were issued.
  • Three people were arrested on felony drug-related charges.
  • One gun was seized.
  • Two rooms were secured and locked down by Code Enforcement.
  • $3,662.67 in money was seized.

Code Enforcement also found:

  • Unpermitted work is being done on the property.
  • Non-functional smoke detectors
  • Signs of drug use in multiple rooms
  • Unregistered guests
  • Possible structural issues

According to the Reno Police in a release, “This operation demonstrates the effectiveness of interagency collaboration, and the results reflect the collective effort of all units involved.”
