The U.S. National Weather Service has declared a Red Flag Warning on Saturday until 11 P.M.
This is due to heat, high winds and dryness in the region.
Due to the weather conditions, local fire agencies say it is best to postpone certain outdoor activities.
"It's really important that our residents think twice about engaging in activities that have the potential to start fires. Off roading, target shooting, campfires, bonfires, cooking fires with open flames," said Adam Mayberry, Communications Officer for Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue.
Mayberry also encourages people at home to avoid activities such as barbequing, and to keep things like a fire extinguisher and a garden hose nearby.
Along with this, a small spark from tailpipes, lawnmowers, or even metal being dragged on the asphalt can cause major issues.
Due to recent fires, and lack of humidity, Mayberry says it is best to stay fire aware all the time.
"Treat every day like a red flag warning day, particularly during the hot and dry seasons that we are in now. We haven't had any precipitation in quite a while and there is none on the forecast so if you look out into our high desert environment, we have a lot of dry grasses, dry sages, and brush," said Adam Mayberry.
