HEAT Reno arrest

Regional authorities have arrested a man and found a suspected sex trafficking teen victim in Sparks. 

Reno Police say detectives with the Regional Human Exploitation and Trafficking (HEAT) Unit found a missing 14-year-old girl and arrested a 31-year-old man during a traffic stop in Sparks.

Authorities say HEAT detectives received information from Riverside human trafficking detectives that the girl had run away from her group home and might be in the Reno area.

On September 29th, detectives say they learned the girl was a confirmed Commercially Sexually Exploited Child (CSEC) and was sex trafficked by multiple traffickers in the past. Through followup investigation and surveillance, detectives identified the suspect, Daniel Isidoro as a semi-truck driver. They located the truck and conducted a traffic stop near Pyramid Way and Tierra Del Sol Parkway in Sparks.

Authorities say the girl was provided with resources.

Authorities say during an interview with detectives, Isidoro admitted to having sex with the girl.

He was arrested for the listed charges:

* kidnapping in the first degree

* statutory sexual seduction

* child abuse by sexual exploitation
