Squeeze Inn opens newest location in MidTown.jpg

A new breakfast and lunch restaurant is set to open in Midtown Reno later this month, with a grand opening celebration planned for the public.

Squeeze In MidTown will open June 27 at RED Development, 2020 Red Drive, Suite 6. The grand opening event is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will include special offers for guests.

The restaurant is owned and operated by Whitney and Mike Goldwater, who also own the Squeeze In location in Carson City.

Located across from the Cinemark Century movie theater, the restaurant features seating for more than 70 people and a large outdoor patio. The space also includes decor selected by the owners, featuring family and career heirlooms as well as items sourced from local thrift stores, antique shops and vendors.

Artwork from local artists, including a custom mural, will be displayed throughout the restaurant.

Whitney Goldwater, a retired 911 operator, and Mike Goldwater, a retired sheriff's deputy, said the new location gives them another opportunity to remain involved in the community.

“So much of our lives has been about serving this community, often during some of the most important moments people face,” said Whitney Goldwater, co-owner of Squeeze In MidTown. “With Squeeze In MidTown, we get to serve in a new way by creating a place where people can slow down, share a meal and feel at home. We hope this becomes a spot where families, friends and neighbors make memories they’ll carry with them for years."

Squeeze In was founded in Truckee, California, in 1974 and has expanded to multiple locations in Nevada and California. The restaurant is known for its breakfast and lunch menu, including a wide variety of omelets.
