Fire crews knocked down a fire this afternoon at the Circus Circus on West Street in Reno.

The call came in about 10 minutes before 6 p.m., according to the Reno Fire Department (RFD).

They say the fire started in a room on the 16th floor of the hotel and the sprinkler system kept the blaze contained to the room.

Some people on the 16th floor were evacuated while crews cleared the floor of smoke.

Nobody was injured.

RFD investigators said the cause was likely an electrical wiring issue.Â
