Reno Fire crews responded to the Truckee River near the McCarran Bridge at 4th Street after receiving a call about four people needing to be rescued from the water. It happened just before 4 p.m. Saturday.
When firefighters arrived, they learned there were actually six people involved. A water-entry team and rescue swimmers entered the river and rescued four people from the water.
Crews continued searching for the other two people, who were later found to be safely at home.
Everyone involved is now safe.
