Reno Police select ForceMetrics platform

The Reno Police Department has selected ForceMetrics’ Velocity platform to improve access to real-time data, streamline workflows, and support both officers and the community.

The platform allows dispatchers, officers, and command staff to pull critical information from existing systems within seconds, reducing manual data entry and fragmented systems.

Officials say this technology is designed to save time, enhance collaboration, and support officer safety while building community trust.

"Through our partnership with ForceMetrics, our officers have real-time, actionable, and accurate information to make safer and more informed decisions when in the field,”  said Chief Nance of Reno PD. “This partnership will improve community safety and information sharing, while identifying crime trends and suspects who are involved in criminal activity."

Velocity is already used by police departments nationwide for real-time crime centers, investigations, and daily policing.

The platform converts complex, disconnected data into clear insights, helping agencies identify patterns and make faster, more informed decisions.

“We’re proud to work with Reno PD as they continue investing in data-driven policing and community safety,” said Jason Truppi, co-founder and CTO of ForceMetrics. “Velocity is built to break down barriers between systems so agencies can spend less time searching for information and more time acting on it.”

With the adoption of Velocity, Reno joins a growing list of departments using technology to enhance transparency, efficiency, and public trust.
