A man has been arrested by Reno Police on multiple charges after a shots fired incident on Sunday night in northwest Reno.

It happened on Golden Eagle Drive around 9:40 p.m., on January 4, according to a release from the RPD.

Multiple callers reported hearing rapid gunfire and smelling gunpowder in the area.

Officers found several fired cartridge casings in the area, and investigators linked muddy footprints found outside a nearby residence to the suspect’s shoes.

That suspect, identified as 44-year-old Jason Baker, was arrested on multiple charges.

He was also found to be a convicted felon who failed to register.

While carrying out a search warrant, authorities found four guns, numerous magazines, body armor, and a handgun consistent with the caliber of the recovered casings.

Officers also found around 11.5 pounds of marijuana.

Baker was booked on charges including discharging a firearm in public, four counts of prohibited person in possession of a firearm, and possession of marijuana in an amount greater than one ounce but less than 50 pounds.
