A man has been arrested on multiple charges after a shooting incident in downtown Reno earlier this month, while police continue to seek the victim.
It happened on Friday, September 25, at around 10 a.m., according to a release from the RPD.
Officers were told a man was assaulted and that a gun had been fired, with the person who was shot at leaving the area before officers arrived.
Police found the suspect using a drone and detained him near the Washington Street bridge.
He was identified as 41-year-old Ryan West.
In the course of the arrest, officers found a 9mm handgun without a serial number. Officers also found a spent shell casing.
Surveillance video from a business near the incident showed a physical confrontation between West and another man. After the confrontation, West pulled out a gun and fired in the direction of the other man.
West was arrested and booked into the Washoe County Jail on multiple charges, which can be seen below.
Assault with a deadly weapon
Discharging a firearm where a person might be endangered
Drawing a weapon in a threatening manner
Carrying a concealed weapon without a permit
Possession of a firearm without an issued serial number
Police are continuing work to identify and locate the other person involved in the incident.
They encourage the person involved to come forward and speak with officers.
