Reno Police say they're still looking for one or more people who may have been involved in Saturday's shooting in northwest Reno that ended with one person dead, and four others hurt.

Police say it happened in the area of Raggio Parkway early Saturday morning.

One of the victims has since been released from the hospital. However, the conditions of the other three remain unknown.

It is an ongoing investigation so they can't share much. However, Reno Police say they believe this shooting is the result of a party gone wrong.

"We believe that it all stemmed from a party," said Officer Lara Ryzanych. "That is a general area where youth go to hang out, have a good time, overview the city at night. It sounds like they were having a good time, but some sort of altercation ensued which resulted in the incident."

Ryzanych says they typically see an increase in crime during the summertime. Not just in gun violence, but any type of crime committed by any person of any age, particularly in social settings.

"But also, just open events in the area or just crimes of opportunity when you have people that are coming to the city, tourists that are here to enjoy the space," said Ryzanych.

If you see anything suspicious or have any information regarding the shooting you can call Reno Police at (775) 334-2677 or report anonymously through Secret Witness at (775) 322-4900.
