The Reno Police Department recently finished a campaign specifically focused on the safety of pedestrians and people in school zones.
The operation ran from January 6 through January 31.
During that timespan, eight officers with RPD conducted the operations within designated pedestrian safety zones in downtown Reno, or within an active school zone.
The operation resulted in 93 tickets being issued, and 42 warnings.
The Reno Police Department would like to remind drivers and pedestrians to share the road; saying a good rule of thumb for all is, "Look up, look out."
